Awesome breakfast! Mexican and American fusion. The best of both worlds.

  • *****

Good food and pretty good prices.

  • *****

Mexican American restaurant. I really enjoyed the breakfast that I ordered. It was eggs with bean, rice and chile. Coffee was good and strong.
The waitress was really nice and helpful. I give this place a 5 star. Even the cook asked us how our food was. Thank you! It was good.

  • *****

Actually this little place has tasty food.

  • *****

The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the staff is wonderful!

  • *****

Excellent breakfast and lunch. We got Chicken Tacos and a Chorizo Burrito the size of a small dog.
These hard shell tacos were amazing; these are not your grocery store hard shells.

  • *****

First time trying Hwy 2 Fusion Diner. They have great menu options, was hard to make a decision when everything sounded so amazing!! Had the chocolate chip pancake breakfast, was perfect sharing size for my little one and me. Friendly and attentive staff. Hope to go back soon.

  • *****

The waitress at this place are amazing. The food was great also

  • *****

Great food, great prices and right off highway 2 next door to the gas station. Very friendly staff. Breakfast and lunch served. Family friendly, affordable

  • *****

Friendly staff, great tacos, haven't tried the breakfast food yet, but it looks good. It's a casual atmosphere.

  • *****

2nd time there and ordered the same thing. Turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich (no mayo) and tortilla soup. Soup has a very pleasing taste, I love the fact it is NOT real spicy and love the flavor of sandwich and soup together. It's going to be very hard for me to try something different because I like that so much. Friendly, helpful waitress, clean restaurant, good portions (soup was loaded with meat). With definitely go back. Have already told others about the place after the 1st visit

  • *****

Every time I come here I get something different. This time I tried the chicken tortilla soup and tacos chihuahua. They were amazing!!!

I really like the beans and these tacos were just perfect. With the soup and taco order I had enough food for two lunches. I put the leftover taco in my air fryer for like 5 minutes and it reheated so well.

  • *****

The food was wonderful. We like that they offer 1/2 sandwiches.
If you go, try the fried ice cream. So good! It was clean, great service and nice people.

  • *****

Great Diner food! Breakfast all day. Hwy 2 Omelette was loaded, wife had the cinnamon roll french toast. Legit!

  • *****

Good food in generous portions with great service. In our party of four, I was the only one able to finish his plate. The omelet was great, but the home style potatoes were just okay. I really like the combination of diner + Mexican food.

  • *****

    Delicious food and great service

  • *****

Wow! Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Was incredibly impressed with the quality of the food and service. You'd never guess it was attached to a gas station. Lol Definitely going back.

  • *****

This is an outstanding locally owned American/Mexican Fusion type restaurant. The food is great, the people are great. They have your favorite American, and Mexican foods. They speak English, and Dpanish. A great place to eat breakfast. The best Pecan Waffles I've ever eaten, and I've eaten them in Louisiana, Texas, and Waffle Houses all across the US.

  • *****

Good staff. Great service. Excellent eggs. All in all, a most perfect breakfast.

  • *****

Second time here in two weeks. The people are super nice and friendly. They even made me huevos la mexicana and it's not on the menu. I was super happy because I dont like runny eggs like the huevos rancheros has.

  • *****

Awesome service best food in Monroe and I'm glad to know my good friend Octavio is running this business. I highly recommend it. Great food awesome service.

  • *****

Tried out this place for their "soft opening" tonite & they did not disappoint!!!
The tacos are amazing!! Best I've had in a long time.... & the FRIES!!!! I'm picky about fries & these fries- I don't know what they do to them to make them so light & crispy, but I needed more!! I even had to take an order to go!
I should have taken pics, but it was all so good I just dug right in!
I can't wait to try their breakfast! Super friendly staff & great food!
Glad to see another great option come into town!!! Keep up the great work!

  • *****

First time here and it was great my friend and i ordered the arroz con pollo and my husband ordered the new york steak and everything was great the server was very attentive would really recommend this place thanks for the great service and delicious food

  • *****

Tried this place out for breakfast yesterday morning. My favorite weekend breakfast splurge is egg Benedict and they have it! Hash brown are thickly grated with just the right amount of crunch. It's great to have another breakfast option besides Denny's. give this place a try and let's keep them in town! And when you buy 5 entrees you get one free.

  • *****

Walked in and the atmosphere was immediately welcoming. The young man who greeted and ultimately served me was so friendly. I had the tacos and they were made in freshly fried shells they were seasoned perfectly and the hot sauce on the side was great. They are the first tacos since I moved from Colorado I would eat again and again. I hope people cross the street from fast food tacos and give these guys a try.

  • *****

Great breakfast place. Friendly staff and owners. Food was awesome. Great to have another good breakfast place in Monroe again. Kids eat free on Sunday too!!!

  • *****

Great new restaurant in Monroe Washington. I had the eggs Benedict and they were fantastic. I also enjoyed their homestyle potatoes. They had nicely charred peppers and onions which is how I like them but rarely how they are served in other restaurants. For those who don't like veggies touching their potatoes, the hash browns looked good too. Fast and friendly service. Plenty of parking.

  • *****

This restaurant is new to the monroe area and has already become a weekly meeting place for my friends and I. Staff is friendly, prices are fair, food is amazing and filling. Give them a tey you will not be dissapointed.

  • *****

Great food and great service!! So glad we found this on Yelp - we were passing through on our way home from Leavenworth and we wouldn't have thought to go here from the street. It's right next to the Red Barn gas station convenience store so we wouldn't have thought to look there for good food!! We had the Enchiladas Chihuahuas, Taco Salad, Fusion Burger, and French Toast and LOVED them all!!!

  • *****

Must try breakfast in Monroe. Had the eggs Benedict with house potatoes. Mom had corn beef hash. Both were excellent and the service was great. Loved that my coffee stayed full.

  • *****

Had the eggs benidict. Service is super friendly and prompt to refill beverages. The eggs benidict was tasty along with the country potatoes but not 12$ tasty. There was a bit of dark on the Avocado
( 2$ for 3 slices ) which would be my only issue. With all the 5 star rating I was expecting to be blown away. I might give this place a try in the future.

  • *****

We stopped at this small diner on our way to Leavenworth. It was great service and food! I normally don't eat my hash browns but everthing was tasty. We'll be back!

  • *****

This is a awesome find. Great food and the owners are awesome. Had the Ceviche that was made to order. Fresh and so so delicious. Ended with Apple Pie which was also good. Would be a great place for a Private Event and will definitely be back for
breakfast. Waiting for their Beer and Wine License. Would definitely recommend.

  • *****

I've been to this diner several times. Each time the food presentation was excellent, flavor and selection fantastic. Owner and staff have always been fun, positive and upbeat.

Now one of my favorite restaurants in Monroe Washington

  • *****

Saw the positive reviews on Yelp and decided to give the place a try for breakfast. Service was outstanding very very friendly people and the food was delicious and served as ordered. Don't pass this place by it is a little gem.

  • *****

We had a great breakfast with fantastic service. This place has a really friendly comfortable vibe!

  • *****

One of the best breakfasts in town. We have been going to Jakes as our go to place but have converted to this new little place. Food is great, service was wonderful and decent prices.

  • *****

Enjoyed a GREAT breakfast on Sunday morning. Thoroughly Home Style Potatoes rather than shredded hash browns. I would not hesitate to try the shredded hash browns, as they looked just as delicious. I ordered homemade salsa to compliment my potatoes. GREAT salsa with a mild burn in your mouth at the end. Just perfect. We enjoy the Monte Cristo Sandwich and Classic Eggs Benedict. Everything was hot and cooked just perfect. Within 48 hours, I had already returned to pick up an order to go. Welcome to the community! We look forward to supporting your business - Gary & Nathan

  • *****

Fantastic food. All the positive reviews are spot on! Corned beef hash was incredible and real corned beef....not the crud out of the can that most diners use.

Staff is super friendly and very attentive. Will be coming back often!

  • *****

Ate here for the first time. The owners came to the table and were super friendly and the food was great. We ate the burger and tortilla soup - very tasty. If you're on your way to Wallace Falls... this is a great spot to eat after.

  • *****

Fantastic place! We arrived near the closing time and ordered breakfast dishes. Food is excellent and very tasty - not too salty or oily. Service is super nice and would highly recommend this place!

  • *****

Super nice place, ver friendly staff, clean, & food is great. Kids loved the menudo and strawberry smoothies. I had biscuits and gravy with a mimosa great combination. My husband had machaca with coffee, pleased as well. It's a must, well worth a try!! We'll definitely come back.

  • *****

Yummy food and personable service. Thank you Domezio for awesome service and great conversation.

  • *****

Surprising stop on the way back from Leavenworth. Amazing eggs Benedict and monte Cristo sandwich with friendly and outstanding service!

  • *****

Breakfast served all day.Everyone enjoyed their meal.It is new, clean and they are anxious to make their customers happy.

  • *****

First time here. Had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was one of the better ones I've had. My son had the stack of pancakes and they were fluffy and delicious (I stole a bite :). The staff was amazingly friendly and attentive. My son really enjoyed the decor which was models of old cars, trucks and motorcycles. They even brought some of the models over so we could take a closer look. Had a great conversation with the owner as well. All in all a family atmosphere and we'll definitely be back!

  • *****

Great breakfast. Ordered to go breakfast and it was really good. Was just like what you would cook at home yourself when you cooked an eggs, bacon and toast breakfast. The man that greeted me was very nice and gave me a little tour and showed me what elese they had on the menue while a waited.

  • *****

Rose had to go to the doctor in Monroe And we were looking for a place to have breakfast and we found this highway to diner with a five star rating so we stop by and it turned out to be a great place to stop and eat and have breakfast they also have Menudo tacos enchiladas which are all excellent

  • *****

Awesome food and service. If you like corn beef and hash you won't be disappointed, unless you don't appreciate home made, tons of meat and light on spuds. Possibly the best I've had. Don't leave without a cinnamon roll for the road if you have room left. Definitely will be back next time I'm in the area.

This relatively new restaurant adjacent to a Shell station is a real find in Monroe. We were passing through on our way back from Leavenworth about lunchtime and my wife had a hankering for diner food.

The decor is clean and attractive, a little bit of an industrial vibe with metal sheeting on a couple of accent walls.

The menu is an interesting combination of standard diner fare with a generous offering of Mexican items, and diner items with a Mexican twist. The menu includes lots of items that sound particularly interesting.

My wife really enjoyed her breakfast enchiladas which had a spicy sauce that really complimented an over easy egg. I went more traditional and had corned beef hash and eggs. The hash was a course mixture of freshly chopped corned beef and potatoes. Delicious with an over easy egg. Since it was lunch I had a salad as a side, though I could have had fries, beans, or rice (and perhaps other things as well).

They are particularly proud of their hamburgers and I thought that the traditional torta sounded great as well. I wish I lived closer so that I could return to sample more of the menu. Hopefully our travels will bring us to the neighborhood again soon. Everything is made to order from scratch wherever possible. This means that you will wait longer than for fast food, but what you get will be far better!

They are a little hard to spot from the highway as they are located at one end of a building that also houses a Shell gas station. Their sign sort of disappears into the background. They are completely separate from the station so once inside you are isolated from the hustle and odors from next door.

I talked to one of the owners and he said breakfast business is good, but lunch is slow. That means that you should rush right down for lunch. You won't have to wait and you'll be helping a fine new restaurant build their business.

  • *****

Stopped in for lunch with friends and really enjoyed the tacos. For a lunch plate, the three tacos were stuffed and the rice & beans were plenty.

The tacos were loaded with fresh lettuce, avocado and I opted for the shredded beef which was plenty but the chunks were too big for a taco.

Our server promised that the refried beans were prepared a special way and they were good but not necessarily special. They were homemade though - which could be 'special' considering the canned alternatives I guess.

The service may have been off today since my 2 requests for a soda refill didn't happen.

We will be back - the food was great and am sure the service will be even better next time.

Have you ever walked into a place and known right away that it was going to be awesome? That's how we felt at the Hwy 2 Diner Fusion. First, the people are fantastic, friendly and funny. Our waitress, Debbie, kept us laughing and our coffee cups filled. I have a food allergy that can make dining out really tricky, but she lucked up on it right away, called the owner over, and made me feel safe. And I didn't feel like an inconvenience.

My wife had the country fried steak. She's from Texas and has impossibly high standards for both country fried steak and sausage gravy, and this breakfast rated top-notch in the Texas scale. I had the mole enchiladas with jack cheese because if my tomato allergy. I've had a lot of mole in my lifetime and this was excellent. The chef balanced the bitter, sweet, and spicy perfectly and the consistency was velvety. The refried beans were absolutely the best I've ever had, just as good as my family makes.

The prices are incredibly reasonable, the service perfect, and the coffee good, a great diner combination. Add superb Mexican food and diner staples, and you have the perfect fusion to win me over. It was so good we're going back tomorrow.

  • *****

Great place to eat. Stopped by for breakfast on the way thru town and now I wish they were in my town. Had there meat lovers omelet and everything was fresh. Certainly will stop here again if I am in the area

  • *****

We love this place! Classic all American diner food with delicious Mexican dishes infused with the menu makes this our new favorite neighborhood gem. They have real hashbrowns!! Excellent service and great experience, we are definitely coming back

  • *****

The chicken tortilla bowl was comforting and delicious!! The service was outstanding as well. I will be back and absolutely recommend this diner.

  • *****

Birthday breakfast, I wanted to try Hwy 2 and we are so glad we did. My Mr. got the biscuits and gravy, with eggs over easy and hash browns. He said everything was very tasty, and he joined the clean plate club! I had the Monte Cristo sandwich, with hash browns. This sandwich is grilled! Oh my, what goodness happens with ham, turkey, cheese, and egg-dipped bread that is grilled on all sides. Not deep fried, where all you taste is fryer grease, but carefully grilled to crispy perfection. Friendly wait staff, more than just our server stopped by to see how we were doing, or if we needed anything. First time here, but it will not be the last! I have to go back, as I spotted Chilaquiles on the menu...

  • *****

This is the second time visiting Hwy 2Diner fusion and once again the food was delicious...i had the turkey bacon avocado sandwhich with fries it was scrumptious. My friend had the pork carnitas with rice and beans and the menudo which i tasted and was also delicious.Service was friendly and fast even tho the place was busy.I cant wait to go again soon.

  • *****

Best thing to happen to Monroe in a very very long time, the menu is outstanding little bit if everything
From all American breakfast to sandwiches, salads with a fusion of authentic and I mean authentic home style south of the border mexican food
Can't say enough about this place, although is next to a gas station
It is very deceiving, you'll be WOW when you walk in, Chicken fried stake is great my son had the chilaquiles ONLY
There can you find this authentic
Recomed for travelers for awesome comfort food, oh yes their tortilla soup
    Two thumbs up,

  • *****

Today I went in with my husband and he had the tacos...I will never cook tacos again because I'm pretty sure he will never eat them after trying these. They were perfect. Fresh crispy tortillas filled with your choice of shredded beef (delicious, slightly caramelized after being slow cooked) or shredded chicken (we had two beef and one chicken) tons of fresh shredded lettuce, sour cream, Mexican crumble cheese and a fresh slice of avocado. OMG so good! In fact I stole one (chicken) and I am already craving them despite devouring my delicious BLT and fries. We love Demecio the owner who is so committed to customer service and engaging with everyone who comes in. I am so happy to have this restaurant close by, there really is something on the menu for everyone, and everything is good. I am going to have a hard time eating anything besides the tacos from now on, however...they really were that good.

  • *****

A hidden gem in Monroe! You wouldn't think it was much from the outside. I originally thought it was just a fast food walk up attached to a gas station. It is anything but that! It's pretty big on the inside. The food is fresh & you get a lot of it. Guess they are perfectionists because a small corner fell off my huge waffle & I didn't even notice it. Before I knew it, the waitress had dropped off a replacement free of charge! WOW! The personnel could not be any nicer! The Mgr. gave us 2 punch cards. Yes I would recommend this to the townspeople of Monroe as well as anybody just passing thru.

  • *****

Wow! What a lovely surprise at this little restaurant! My brother and I stopped in looking for a late breakfast and we were surprised to see it was a fusion of American and Mexican. My brother had the French toast breakfast with such a generous portion of ham, home fried potatoes and eggs that he couldn't even finish. I was thrilled to try their chilaquilles with eggs, rice and beans, so delicious.
The place is super clean, simply and tastefully furnished and the owners are wonderful! We enjoyed our conversation very much! We will be back soon!!

  • *****

We just moved out near Monroe and have already claimed this diner as our breakfast tradition spot. Everything we've tried had been amazing, as has been the wait staff. One dish in particular - my wife told the owner she would do a commercial singing praise of this dish - Carnitas De Puerco. Definitely worth your time to make a visit and experience it!

  • *****

Decided to try this place while we were visiting Monroe for a Sunday brunch...all I can say is AMAZING! I had the meats omelette with the breakfast potatoes. My wife had the Eggs Benedict, I don't think I have ever seen her eat so fast, so it must've been delicious. Perfect portions, great flavor, will definitely be back for more!! The only thing I wish was different was they were advertising a breakfast burrito special outside the doors, but it wasn't available on the menu. I hope they change that soon cause that is my favorite breakfast meal.

  • *****

I haven't found a single thing here that isn't just wonderful. From the Philly sandwich being spot on with perfectly grilled fresh meat, melted cheese, sauteed onions and peppers, toasted roll and crispy delicious fries to breakfast enchiladas with perfect eggs and authentic sauce to the coffee to the bacon to the veggie omelet to burgers to the tortilla soup....all so so good. Each time I go, it's just wonderful and the service is top notch. They are one of my favorite spots in town and definitely a big big step up from some of the other choices.

  • *****

We are always looking for a good breakfast place. We were in monroe and searched on maps and came up with Hwy 2 Fusion. By all the descriptions we knew it was kind of in a gas station area. We have driven by a MILLION times and never knew this place was there!
The people were very friendly. The prices were about average. The food was great! Great selection, too!
Our waitress kept on top of my husbands water glass, which, btw, is VERY hard to do!

The eggs Benedict were not sloppy as I like the eggs scrambled not poached! Lol.

  • *****

Fast service. Amazing and filling omelettes. Excellent portion size. Well priced. Will go back again!

  • *****

Been meaning to try this place out since it opened! Finally got to try it out when we were wanting breakfast at like 1:30pm on a Sunday watching the football game. There were three of us and we all order something different but all equally tasty. We had chilaquiles with a side of chorizo to mix in (so good), meat lovers omelette and the kielbasa omelet. Everyone loved their meal and it was plenty to fill up on.

  • *****

Great breakfast. The huevos rancheros was delicious and spicy! The chicken fried steak was tender and perfectly cooked. The hash browns were not very good but the potatoes O'Brien were tasty. Great place!

  • *****

Best shredded beef taco plate around! (SoCal native approved!) ;)
Classic breakfast and brunch options are also simple and tasty. These guys are also the nicest people! Excellent food and service, a real hidden and unsuspecting gem in Monroe. And yep, it's at a gas station- give it a try, you won't regret it!

  • *****

Pleasant surprise to happenstance across this diner on our way down from Stevens pass. The staff were very friendly. Even one of the owners came over and chatted us up for a while. The decor was modern and casual. The menu was surprisingly hip for a small town. We ordered a delicious chicken Fried steak that was huge. My son ordered chicken strips (appetizer) which worked perfectly as a meal. The strips were solid white meat in hand dipped batter. My other child ordered a pepper jack burger and loved it! They ran out of mash potatoes, but they replaced it with a large portion of hand-cut fries which were delicious.

The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was that my meatloaf was burned on the bottom and way to dense for my liking. It had a great taste as it was mixed with French onions and doused in French onion gravy. I had to cut off the bottom layer to avoid the burned meat. The portion was huge so I took half of it home as leftovers. When I warmed it up in the microwave it became more tender and I enjoyed it more after nuking it.

Overall, we really liked this place and plan to eat there again on our way to and from the pass. Definitely recommend it! Next time I will try a sandwich.

  • *****

First time visiting yesterday bc I was in the area and found via yelp. Hidden spot next to gas station....so not much curb appeal, but those are the spots I like! Very clean and good selection of traditional diner food with Mexican foods as well. Everything sounded good, I got the tacos and they were excellent! I live about 30 minutes away....but definitely planing on coming back to try something else!

  • *****

We were seated promptly and the server was friendly. The place was clean which I always like and the food was good. The outside is deceptive as part of the building is a gas station but when in the diner you don't notice the gas station part. The only thing I would have liked is to have our drinks refilled quicker.

  • *****

My husband and I are always looking for a really good breakfast place to eat and find ourselves limited living in Duvall. The service is great, the food is great and it's very clean! The owner is so nice and welcoming... I love everything about this place!! We'll continue to spread the word and bring our appetites!

  • *****

To be honest my breakfast date(left buttcheek) and I were looking for a local breakfast joint that served mimosas. That was the priority so we found this place.
When you walk in it has a cute little diner feel.
We got seated and our waitress came to us shortly after.
Let's just say she was awesome!! Debbie was Super friendly and funny and really made us feel as if we were at "home".
I ordered the chorizo with the house potato's. The chorizo was spot on. I added a little salt on the potatoes cause I'm a salty mother trucker.
The salsa was spicy but not so much that it took away from the food. I loved it. Honestly expected something out of a can that tasted like tomatoes.
Had a chance to meet the owner and he was nice as well.
This is my first review and this place was definitely worth it!

Ps. I might go for a third mimosa.

  • *****

I've been dying for diner food for a while and found it here. Great service, great food!

  • *****

We came here for breakfast around 11am on a Saturday. They were pretty busy but the staff was still friendly and we didn't have to wait long at all to order or get coffee and the food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Lumberjack omelet. It was super good. Just the right amount of meat and veggies and cheese to fill the whole omelet. Not a single bite of just egg like a lot of other restaurants omelets. The hash browns were cooked perfectly with a little crunch. The new owners are keeping this place just as good as the last. Vicky and Justin are keeping the same menu and the food tastes just as good as the previous owners. This is still one of my favorite breakfast stops in Monroe.

  • *****

The food is fantastic. Just plain and simple. Southern California style Mexican - American food with home style comfort! Try the salsa!! It's delicious! Totally bringing the gang back Sunday for beers and mimosas!!!

  • *****

I wasn't expecting much driving by this place. I was pleasantly surprised. The portions were HUGE and the service was fast. I will definitely be back wen I'm in the area.

  • *****

I Love this place. I always get great service and great food. Very friendly! It's our little town diner.

  • *****

Wow I've driven by this place everyday for a year and didn't see it. Food was awesome. Clean and friendly space.

  • *****

Pretty great place. Parking is a little rough and I was surprised that it was attached to a gas station. But the service was great, friendly and fast. The place was clean and the food was spot on. I'll
    Be back

  • *****

We've been here many times and they are pretty consistent. We were seated fairly quickly. They were a little busy, but the waitress took time to greet us. Our order and drinks were taken within 5 minutes and food arrived quickly. I had the French toast combo and my husband had the waffle combo. Warning, the combos contains so much food that it comes out on 2 plates! Decent food, nice staff.

  • *****

Tasted like food. Yelp wants me to write more so here is more text. Enjoy... Wow. It just is never enough for you is it Yelp? I'll try submitting now.

  • *****

The food here was great. I came for breakfast and got the Chilaquiles. I had never had them before and I have to admit that they were great! I'm sure their pancakes and waffles are good, but if you find yourself here, try something new and go for their South of the Border breakfast section. I had no idea that rice and beans were a breakfast food, but they were fantastic.
The only real complaint I had here was the seating arrangement at the restaurant. The booths are all situated around the walls of the restaurant, but then they have a couple of tables alone in the middle of the room. It felt a little like I was on display for everyone else. I'd encourage the owners to figure out a different arrangement for these tables.

  • *****

It was Father's Day so there was a little bit of a wait, but worth it! The service was great our waitress was quick and friendly. Food was good. I like this place

  • *****

    I recommend this place
the menu is full of excellent choices
I got the enchilada plate and it was good
my wife got a burger and was able to get tortilla soup instead of fries and she enjoyed both
the owner was there making sure everyone was happy
for breakfast or lunch coming to or from on highway 2 be sure to put them on your list !

  • *****

What a cute little place- and located at a Shell gas station. This was a perfect stop for us for breakfast before going to a nearby RV show!

  • *****

Stopped for breakfast, glad we did.
Fresh , hot and delicious. Cinnamon rolls, blueberry pancakes, omelets and biscuits and gravy, all was yummy and plenty of food .Server was friendly and patient with our party of 8.
    Atmosphere wAs cute and upbeat.
    I recommend it

  • *****

A must stop for breakfast in Monroe, I'd plan to leave early just to stop there again.

Staff was friendly, clean and updated inside. Big food portions and reasonably priced, we left satisfied and had more on our plate. We'll be back again!

  • *****

I've been saying that Monroe needs a good breakfast place ever since Patty's Egg Nest flew the coop. Well apparently now they have one.

  • *****

The quality of food is excellent. Large portion and cooked to order. Breakfast entrees tasted fresh and absolutely did not come out of the box or cans. Service is also fabulous. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be back again and again.

  • *****

Such a great restaurant! The location is misleading since it is next door to a gas station, but trust the reviews. This place has homemade Mexican food that tastes like you're sitting at home with your tias. If you're in for the weekend, head in here for brunch. They even have mimosas!!

  • *****

With an atmosphere that is warm and casual, Hwy 2 Diner Fusion is a lovely little place to visit for an amazing breakfast. Our server Debbie was friendly and kept the coffee mugs full. The Eggs Benedict was fresh and delicious. It had the warmth of home-made food. My friend had the cheese omelette. It was fluffy, filled with cheddar cheese and perfectly cooked. I ordered the homestyle potatoes but I was a bit overwhelmed with green pepper. Overall, a truly yummy experience. Next visit we will try lunch.

  • *****

It took exactly exactly 16 min from the time we walked in the door to having our food in front of us. We've been here twice now and the food and service have been great every time.

  • *****

Saturday morning. It had been a rough Friday night. Couldn't sleep past six, couldn't get an appetite until 1000. Head into town cause I need to, forgot it's the day of the parade. Crap. Need food and downtown's a zoo. Where to go? Well, there's that place in the gas station building off Hwy 2. Seriously. How hungry Do you have to be to eat at a restaurant in a gas station parking lot?

These are the thoughts of a fool.

Don't judge this book by its cover. This place is fantastic! Clean. Friendly. And GREAT food. They didn't have a michalada on the menu but made one anyway.

A fusion menu and worth coming in. Try it, don't be such a fool as I.

We've been here many times for breakfast, one of these days I will order lunch because that menu looks great and the food I see passing me looks good too.

The breakfasts are delicious we've had the pancakes, waffles, eggs, chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy all at different times and the meals have been wonderful. A few times we had the mimosas and I think the choice of juice is perfect (I did like it better when they bought you your own little bottle of champagne but that is a nit). The servers are fast and efficient the restaurant does get crowded but we always get great service.

    We will definitely be back.

My husband said the Eggs Benedict was the best he had in this area! The pancakes are also pretty good. The breakfast potatoes were tasty and the machaca (eggs & shredded beef) was very flavorful! Unfortunately the beans are cooked with pork so I couldn't order them...

The not-so-good: The apple juice tasted sour and the syrup tasted like it was sugar-free...? The waitress was also very "direct" and seemed annoyed, so we tried to be extra pleasant since she was handling our food! We'll go back, because the food was very good--overall.

Food was great and so was Justin. Loved the rice!! Generous portions, flavorful and fresh. Bottomless iced tea! Great stop in Monroe.

Finally! Since moving to Washington 2 yrs ago we have been hunting for authentic Mexican food. We finally found it!! With a menu comprising assorted flavors of pancakes, hamburgers, and Mexican food I was skeptical. But so so glad we went. We will be making the drive to Monroe when craving Mexican food. Bonus: plans to open early November for dinner too 7am-7pm.

I've been wanting to try this spot for ages and finally did this morning. I had the veggie scramble and it was delicious and a big portion size. The service was friendly and fast. I will definitely be back!

Cute little diner that never fails to serve you up some good old fashioned comfort food when you need it. I usually just get items off their breakfast menu but today I decided to try their tortilla soup and it was incredibly tasty! Although it was more of a broth than the chunky taco soup I was expecting, the flavor was rich and it filled me right up. Their breakfast menu, of course, is on par with what you expect when ordering your French toast or pancakes and eggs or whatever your heart desires.

Had an amazing breakfast. Great food, friendly service, and clean. Had eggs Benedict and it was very good. They also have good bacon and my daughter had the Monte Cristo sandwich and she loved it. We will make this part of our future trips to and from Eastern Washington.

Amazing food. Even more amazing people. I'm glad that I ventured out to Monroe and found this little gem. Debbie who was my server was warm, funny and super attentive. A nice ray of sunshine in the midst of the grey & cold rain outside. They customized the huevos racheros as I didn't want the beans which were cooked in lard. Super attentive refills of coffee and the thing that put the cherry on top was the way John handled a customer inadvertently knocking over a potted plant breaking the vase into pieces. He came running out, only asking if everyone was ok, assured the guests that it was just a vase and that it was perfectly ok. He cleaned it up and as the customer was asking about paying for the vase, another employee just said, don't worry, I hated watering that thing anyways. That was such a simple cute way of putting the customers mind at ease. I came here for the food. But now I'll come back for the food, the friendly neighborhood feel and the customer service!

We stopped here on the way back from Leavenworth after reading the reviews. I had a chorizo omelette something they made special for me after I asked. It was delicious! My niece had the Carmel pecan pancakes and said they were so good! My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said his was more 4 out of 5 but still good. We would highly suggest stopping and eating here.

  • *****

The food was pretty good. Typical diner feeling right off Highway 2. It was a quick place to eat and watch some football on our way out of Monroe. The food was good, the staff was friendly, and it was a nice diner vibe.

Great place for a reliably good bite of food. The selection on the menu is awesome, too! We always hit place for breakfast and it's great that I can get a traditional eggs and bacon and toast plate and my bf can get his fave huevos rancheros. Oh yeah...and they serve mimosas!! Best part :)

I went here for only the 2nd time today for brunch with my family. Almost everyone got a standard breakfast dish with eggs, hashbrowns, and toast to varying degrees. The food looked good and everyone was happy. Wanting to try something different I was intrigued by the description of the tacos... well, specifically the taco shells. Being from CA and a lover of Mexican food I have searched the west side of the state for tacos with hand fried shells. I finally found them here! The shells were perfect and held together even after taking a bite. I had the shredded beef filling and it was extremely flavorful and tender. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is these are the best tacos I've had in my 18 years of living in Washington... and trust me, I tried many restaurants and taquerias! Muy bien!

We love this place! It's by far the best breakfast place in Monroe. If you like big portions you won't be disappointed. But most importantly the food is delicious and well seasoned!

  • *****

    Highly recommended.
Ordered veggie omelette. Everything was freshly prepared. Yes Farm fresh to the hwy 2 fusion diner.
    Definitely check out this place!!!
    Staff were super friendly.

These place is delicious! Don't let the gas station next door fool ya! Staff is prompt and friendly. Will eat here every chance I get!

Came in around 1 pm found out that the cook and his wife are now the new owners. If you haven't been to hwy 2 diner you are missing out this place is a gem. Food is great the staff is friendly service is fast. Today I had the enchiladas chihuahua but for some reason I ordered the beef enchiladas oh my god tasted like roast very good very juicy highly recommend this dish as always the rice and beans best in town. So let's support this business and the new local owner come on out and give them your business. They are open for breakfast and lunch.

  • *****

Always have had great meals here. Eggs Benedict all day. I have got to try their Monte Criste sandwich.

No matter what I order at Hwy 2 Fusion, I am never disappointed. I cane here on a friend's recommendation and how make it my regular Saturday morning stop. I had the waffle combo, including hashbrowns, bacon, and overhard eggs. Everything cooked perfect. The cook is awesome and the friendly staff make you feel great too!

  • *****

The food is pretty awesome. The service was good and the restaurant was tidy and clean.

  • *****

Service here was really nice and the food arrived in a couple of minutes. One employee named Alicia Mrales was very nice and was generously thoughtful to take pictures for my sons birthday.

  • *****

Great food and even better service! Went there with a hint of doubt, but the food turned out great and the server was friendly and on point with her tasks and duties. I recommend the chilaquiles for anyone considering stopping by.

  • *****

The food and service were very good. I had a ham and cheese omelette and my husband had corned beef hash and eggs. Both came with potatoes and toast. The orange juice was fresh and my coffee cup was refilled several times. I will be going back for another breakfast soon.

  • *****

Excellent service and very good food! We had the chilequilles and the breakfast enchiladas. Great beans/rice and fried potatoes. All homemade.

To understand the 5 stars, Fusion Diner needs to be put into perspective. Its a greasy spoon that serves traditional American + Mexican fusion breakfast and lunch. And if you aren't paying attention you might confuse its location for the mini-market of a gas station. It's nothing fancy.

And for what it is, it's legit. The food is good with lots of interesting options, fair priced, and large portions. The service is fast and friendly, and the establishment is clean. And again, food's good!

The location makes sense too. It's on highway 2 just as you leave Monroe on the way to Steven's. You probably need to stop for gas anyhow.

    Worth a try!

  • *****

If you ever find yourself in Monroe, Wa...Hwy 2 Diner for the breakfast win! I should've taken a photo of the Mochaca with the most amazing hot sauce. The waitress warned us to taste a bit first because it's never the same and "sometimes it's a bit feisty!"

Great food. Fabulous and friendly service. Don't be afraid that it's connected to the Shell station!

Food so good it made my girlfriend cry!

One bite of the rice and beans instantly took her back to her great grandma and auntie's food of her youth. Mexican food can always be judged by the quality of the rice and beans. These were incredible. I had the huevos rancheros and she had a Monte Christo. Everything was perfect and the coffee was incredible as was the staff. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in the area it is worth stopping by for. Unassuming exterior that hides a true gem of an eatery.

So happy to have found this amazing cafe fusion restaurant. It was so cozy, friendly, and had that home feel to me. I was passing by for work and decided to eat. The food was delicious and I highly recommend it period. Will definitely visit over and over when I visit the area again. Don't hesitate to request or mix anything in the menu. The chef and staff will do all they can to please the customer. Enjoy the picture and give a try.

Our food, from a very diverse menu, was prepared perfectly here. I'm disappointed that it took me this long to dine here despite working in the neighborhood for 15 years.

The service was super-attentive and the prices were as expected.

    HIGHLY recommended.

Highway 2 Diner is a nice little diner with some good food! The service is quick and friendly, and you get a lot of food at a good price! The only gripe I have about them is they close very early (2PM) and would love for them to stay open even an hour later, or serve dinner and such as well. But hey, they do breakfast well so I can hardly complain!

Update: went front 4 stars to 5 because they stay open later! They now serve food up until 7PM.

  • *****

Huge portions for the price!! Small but very attentive staff. Good food! (Bloody Mary's are perfection)

  • *****

The food was so good. Perfect comfort breakfast food. I orded chicken fried steak with scrambled eggs and cheese. My boys ordered the short stack which were two of the fluffiest pancakes ever and some crispy bacon. The woman helping us was great!
Only complaint is freezing because of where we sat and the breeze from the door opening.

  • *****

This is a hidden gem that can be easily overlooked if you judge it by the outside appearance. Don't be fooled; the food and service here are amazing. They offer typical breakfast and Mexican food. It is hard to believe, but both are exceptional. The omelets are huge and full of delicious fixings. The hash browns are twice as good as Denny's or Waffle House, especially if ordered crispy. The pork tacos are better than those in the nearby taco trucks.

Parking is limited, and there can be a wait sometimes, but it is worth the hassle.

I wish I had taken pictures of my meal! We stopped here to avoid eating fast food at a chain restaurant. The owners are a young couple, who work the diner themselves, and pride of ownership shows. Service was great, and the food was excellent! My hamburger was real meat, done just the way I wanted it. We ordered fries, and the owner told us right away that they were from frozen, and not from fresh potatoes. We ordered them anyway, and they were absolutely fantastic. A really nice diner, fast service, good food - I will go back the next time I pass through.

  • *****

I've only had their breakfast. Their pancakes
are big and fluffy. Their blueberry pancakes
are really good. I've gone twice for
breakfast. So far they bat a thousand.

  • *****

Amazing food and excellent service. Super reasonable prices and some of the best enchiladas I’ve had north of the border. Defiantly an awesome stop!!

  • *****

First time back, because of new owners. The food was very good, large portions and served hot. Ordered Eggs Benedict , Monte Cristo, pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. Everyone left well fed, content and with leftovers. Service with a smile. We will go back.

Stopped by for breakfast the other day. The wife said the omelette was great, just too big to eat in one sitting (we took the rest home for the human disposal we call a son). I had the biscuits and gravy. The hash browns, were nice and crisp, the over easy eggs were perfect. The only down side was the gravy. It tasted a little bland, like a mix you would get from the grocery store. Definitely needed a bit more pop. Overall, I would recommend it as we will be back. I am looking forward to trying some other dishes. Bring your appetite as most of the dishes look to be larger than average.

  • *****

I loved my experience here. The waitress was so polite and always on top of checking in. I enjoyed the chicken burger every much. It was nicely seasoned and tasty. The environment was comfy, yet like a diner!

  • *****

What a delightful find. I had a pancake combo that included hash browns. The breakfast sausages were big and juicy. And great service to boot!

  • *****

Really nice place for lunch or breakfast. Excellent quality and more than enough to fill you up without going overboard. We had avoided this place due to the previous restaurant in this location. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the food is. Great service too!
